Job Description
You will join the Product Management team within the Business Computing (BC) group, responsible for software in the domains of HR, Finance, Supply Chain and Site Management. The main assignment is the preparation and implementation of the organisation's ERP transformation covering Finance, Procurement and Logistics processes. The project will involve a preparation phase (planned until March 2027) and an implementation phase (2027-2029). The objective is to strengthen organisational maturity ahead of the ERP implementation by performing structured analyses and facilitating collaboration between business stakeholders, internal development teams, and the future Implementation Service Provider (ISP).
Your responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and internal development teams to gather and prioritise business requirements.
- Draw and analyse business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
- Conduct gap analyses between current custom developments and standard market ERP processes.
- Develop and maintain business process documentation (using BPMN and other business process modelling tools), including process flows and user requirements.
- Support workshops with business stakeholders and consolidate analysis outputs to support implementation.
- Support functional analysis activities and participate in working groups with the ISP.
- Assist in testing and validation phases, including user acceptance testing.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track progress towards organisational goals.
Your profile
- Experience or strong academic background in business analysis, information systems, business process modelling, or a related field.
- Experience with analytical work, process documentation, data analysis, or requirements gathering.
- Interest in large-scale system transformation projects and complex organisational environments is expected.
- Knowledge of enterprise systems (ERP, procurement, finance, or logistics systems) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with UX principles and methodologies would be an advantage.
Skills
- Strong understanding of business modelling concepts and the ability to translate requirements into practical solutions.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather, analyse, and interpret data for actionable insights.
- Proactive problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with multidisciplinary teams and presenting and justifying designs.
- Working autonomously while managing multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities.
- Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State .
- You have a professional background in Software Engineering, Business Analysis (or a related field) and have either:
- a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;
- or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.

Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
