The St. Jakob Foundation in Zurich offers around 450 protected workplaces and day structures for people with disabilities. These are supported by 170 professionals. At the same time, the St. Jakob Foundation enables people with and without support needs to enter the professional world.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed personality as Deputy Team Leader Logistics, who plans with overview, thinks along, and ensures smooth processes.
In this varied role, you support the Logistics Team Leader in his daily coordination and planning of our shipping department. With a hands-on mentality, organizational talent, and high flexibility, you keep an overview even with short-term changes and contribute significantly to ensuring that our fresh products arrive reliably and on time at our customers.
- Supporting the team leader in the daily planning and coordination of the shipping department
- Creating and continuously optimizing tour plans
- Performing general logistics and shipping tasks such as loading the delivery vehicle, timely delivery of goods according to the delivery schedule, and checking completeness before delivery
- Guiding, promoting, and accompanying employees in the secondary labor market
- Processing and maintaining inquiries from other departments (e.g., special orders, events, short-term adjustments)
- Close cooperation with production to optimally plan the provision of goods
- Representing the team leader in his absence during daily business
- Taking partial responsibility for defined task or area responsibilities in consultation with the team leader
- Performing administrative tasks in the logistics area
- Participating in the digitization and optimization of logistics and sales processes
- Assisting with inventory management, disposal, and warehousing
Job requirements:
- Identification with the values of the St. Jakob Foundation and living them in everyday life
- Completed training in logistics or transport or solid professional experience in shipping or tour planning
- Driving license category B mandatory and forklift license advantageous
- Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work on weekends or at night if needed (deliveries take place seven days a week)
- First leadership experience or interest in further development in this area
- Structured, independent work and always friendly, respectful interaction with all partners
- Communicative and team-oriented as well as a neat and friendly appearance
- Very good knowledge of the city of Zurich
- High social skills with all people
