About the job
The Zurich Cantonal Police, with its approximately 4000 employees, takes responsibility for security in the canton. On behalf of the Conference of Cantonal Police Commanders (KKPKS), the Zurich Cantonal Police is establishing an inter-cantonal police Situation & Intelligence Center (Pol LNZ CH). Situation Analyst for Deployment in the Police Situation & Intelligence Center Switzerland 100%
Tasks
- Monitoring the overall police situation in Switzerland and handling current and operational situation priorities on behalf of the Police Command Staff (FSTP) or the KKPKS
- Procurement, analysis, and dissemination of police information on security-relevant events, phenomena, or events
- Maintaining contact with partner organizations of the police situation network at the federal, cantonal, and municipal levels
- Communication with various stakeholders throughout all regions of Switzerland
- Participation in operational deployments of the FSTP as a specialist
- Research, structuring, analysis, and recording of all-source intelligence data and information
- Participation in the development and establishment of the Situation & Intelligence Center
Profile
- Completed training as a police officer (BP) with several years of professional experience and/or completed bachelor's degree (FH/University/ETH, e.g., engineering, business administration, political science) or equivalent experience
- Impeccable reputation
- Very good knowledge of at least two official languages and English
- Excellent editorial and analytical skills, networked thinking, strong interest in security policy issues
- Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as a solution-oriented working style
- Resilient personality with high social competence and pronounced sense of responsibility
- Excellent team and communication skills, assertiveness, and good presentation skills
- Willingness to face new professional challenges, readiness to move out of the professional comfort zone, and a proactive attitude
