Why we are recruiting
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing & Communication Team, the Content Specialist role will play an important role in supporting the creation, dissemination, and promotion of engaging content and marketing efforts across projects and campaigns, contributing to UpLink’s objectives, in collaboration with partners and World Economic Forum centres and initiatives.
This versatile and creative role requires a strong digital media background, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to collaborate with marketing teams and workstreams to ensure efficient campaign execution and overall marketing success.
The ideal candidate will have experience in content creation, digital communication, community engagement, project management, and familiarity with emerging tools and technologies, including AI.
Main responsibilities
- Develop project plans aligned with UpLink and partner objectives to maximize reach and engagement.
- Create and schedule compelling content, including social media videos, blogs, social copy, newsletters, reports, internal communication products, and other collateral as needed.
- Collaborate closely with marketing teams, UpLink workstreams, and Forum stakeholders to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment, while generating innovative content ideas.
- Champion early-stage innovation and key insights among UpLink's prioritized stakeholders through various projects such as internal communications, targeted newsletters, donor reports, etc.
- Use data and analytics tools to track, analyze, and report on content performance, informing future strategies.
- Utilize project management tools (including Airtable) to plan, deliver, and monitor campaigns efficiently.
- Coordinate with UpLink workstreams (Design, Innovation Ecosystem, Product), the Forum’s Global Communication Group (GCG) departments, and external vendors to ensure smooth planning and execution.
- Stay informed on industry trends, new tools, and best practices to keep content fresh and innovative.
- Support processes and administrative tasks as needed, maintaining flexibility for additional responsibilities in other workstreams.
Preferred requirements and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, or corporate communications, preferably within a global or NGO context.
- Proven experience in ideation, production, and promotion of digital content, especially video, along with written, social media graphics, and audio formats.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic familiarity with digital tools and platforms such as social media, Google Suite, and content creation software; proficiency with tools like GA4, Tableau, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CRM, Airtable, Hootsuite is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
