Institute for Complementary and Integrative Medicine IKIM
Start: immediately or by arrangement.
The position is limited to 2-3 years.
The Institute for Complementary and Integrative Medicine IKIM belongs to the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bern. Integrative medicine sensibly combines conventional and complementary medicine. Complementary and Integrative Medicine (CIM) offers a variety of therapeutic options from which many patients can benefit. We work to better exploit the great potential of CIM through research and investigate the effectiveness, safety, and mechanisms of action of medicinal and non-medicinal therapies.
We are looking for an initiative person who wants to advance this emerging and interesting research field with us.
Your tasks and competencies
- Planning and conducting clinical studies, case reports, and surveys
- Co-designing study designs, applications to the Cantonal Ethics Committee, data analysis, writing manuscripts, publication
- Presentation of results at national and international conferences
- Supervision of master theses and dissertations
- Participation in teaching possible if interested/qualified
You bring with you
- University degree with a doctorate in medicine, natural sciences, or psychology
- Interest in the topic
- Ideally research experience
- Initiative, reliability, and organizational skills
- Good German and English skills in spoken and written form
- Interest in multidisciplinary research
- Good teamwork and communication skills
