Senior Life Sciences Consultant – Investment Promotion (80–100%)

Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) is the official Swiss organization for export promotion and location marketing. With around 200 employees and over 3,000 partners worldwide, S-GE supports more than 5,500 Swiss companies annually in their international business and accompanies innovative foreign companies on their way to establishing themselves in Switzerland. We act on behalf of the federal government and cantons as a bridge between the Swiss economy and the world — thus contributing to the prosperity and innovative strength of Switzerland. 

• In this key role, you actively shape the international positioning of Switzerland as a leading location for life sciences: 
• You lead the Health Investment Promotion ecosystem with a focus on biotech, pharma and medtech
• Based on the existing location promotion strategy, you derive a worldwide acquisition strategy for companies in the health sector and identify appropriate target companies in close cooperation with the cantons, regions, Swiss Business Hubs, embassies and partner organizations
• You build and maintain relationships with international companies in the target industry – as a key account manager for Swiss stakeholders in the life sciences sector
• You plan and execute sector-specific projects, roadshows and events at home and abroad
• You support the market entry of international companies and accompany settlement projects in Switzerland
• You promote knowledge exchange within S-GE and continuously develop the internal industry-know-how further

• You have a degree in business, natural sciences or engineering, ideally with further training in international business management or business administration
• You have at least 10 years of experience in internationally active companies in the pharma, biotech or medtech industry or in international consulting
• You possess high consulting competence, political sensitivity and pronounced networking skills 
• You speak fluent French, German and English (at least C1 level)
• You have a good understanding of Swiss location issues, innovation ecosystems and international decision-making processes 
• You act on your own initiative, are customer-oriented, feel comfortable in intercultural environments and act as a pronouncedr team player*in
