Chief Physician Medical Clinic 100%

The Medical Clinic ensures holistic and integrated care for patients with its inpatient services (80 acute beds, a specialized palliative care unit with 11 beds), a medical admission ward, a medical outpatient clinic, and its specialties. We employ 30 assistant physicians and around 25 senior physicians from all specialties of internal medicine.
The position is being refilled due to the retirement of the previous incumbent.
The desired start date is May 1, 2026.

Your tasks:

• You take over the personnel, organizational, and economic management of the Medical Clinic (resource management, budget planning, and personnel management)
• You ensure with your team that our patients in the Medical Clinic receive professionally competent care
• You maintain close cooperation with the clinics and departments within the hospital
• You coordinate collaboration with the specialist physicians of the departments
• As a member of the management board of Spital STS AG, you take responsibility and actively shape the future of Spital STS AG
• You are responsible for the training and continuing education mandate as an SIWF-recognized training center

• You hold the specialist title in General Internal Medicine and possibly a second specialist title
• Habilitation is desired
• In addition to clinical work, you have a special interest in medical training and continuing education as well as in the areas of organization/management
• You have gained broad clinical experience in a medical clinic either domestically or abroad in your previous work
• You have many years of proven leadership experience in developing and motivating interdisciplinary teams
• You are characterized by pronounced communication skills, enjoy clinical work in a collegial and committed team, and can inspire your colleagues for the exciting but also challenging work in the Medical Clinic
• You place great value on interdisciplinary collaboration
