Specialist 1 Unemployment Fund fixed-term for 2 years 80 - 100%In the interest of employees and companies, the Office for Labor (AFA) contributes to strengthening the location Zurich. The labor market policy competencies are bundled in the AFA. Around 650 employees work at over 20 locations. The Unemployment Fund (ALK) is a service organization of the Office for Labor (AFA). The ALK's mandate is to clarify entitlement as well as to calculate and pay benefits of the unemployment insurance (ALV).
To strengthen the existing unemployment compensation team (ALE) at the Leonardo location in Oerlikon, we are looking for 10 new colleagues immediately or by arrangement to support the surrounding cantons in processing benefit orders. The place of work for the positions is fixed in Oerlikon, as the other cantons are supported from there. This team is being completely newly built – if you want to be part of this exciting development, then get in touch!
Your tasks:
- You check benefit claims and calculate unemployment compensation reliably and carefully
- You issue first-instance decisions and ensure that payments are made correctly and promptly
- You ensure that the AVIG is implemented in compliance with the law
- You competently and clearly answer telephone and written inquiries from our customers and advise all stakeholders in a service-oriented and professional manner
- After your training, you take over your own case load and work independently
Your profile:
- You have completed a 3-year commercial basic education or an equivalent commercial training, as well as initial experience in qualified case processing in a private or social insurance
- Further training in the field of social insurance is an advantage – or you are eager to develop further in this area
- You work process-oriented, efficiently, like to make decisions, and have a strong flair for numbers
- You enjoy teamwork – you are curious, interested in legal issues, and open to new things
- You have very good oral and written German skills, good French skills would be a plus – but are not a requirement
