Light Vehicle Delivery Driver
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS) is looking for a light vehicle delivery driver with an activity rate between 80% and 100% (permanent contract). The starting date is scheduled for May 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Hospital Logistics Department (LOH) is tasked with ensuring that care, teaching, and research units can fully focus on their core business by providing and developing efficient operational logistics services (disinfection and maintenance, patient transfers, sterilization, catering, goods transport, stock management, etc.).
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS), which has nearly 130 employees, has the main mission of managing the flow of goods and incoming and outgoing mail of the institution. At the same time, its professional teams manage the stocks of care units, both in hospital wards and operating rooms.
Mission
- You take charge of and ensure the delivery of goods and merchandise according to established schedules, respecting the prescriptions and practices in the field
- You ensure the transport of goods with light vehicles
- You perform routine technical checks on the vehicles
- You participate in special transports of goods or equipment
- You assist with unloading vehicles
- You train and support new employees to enable them to acquire the autonomy necessary for the role
- You ensure the cleaning and maintenance of the equipment and vehicles provided.
Profile
- You hold an AFP certificate as a light vehicle driver or a CFC relevant to the role or any training deemed equivalent
- You have at least 2 years of experience in goods transport
- You possess a light vehicle driving license (B)
- You hold the ADR/SDR hazardous materials transport license, as well as the forklift operator license (tow tractor)
- You have good knowledge of the CHUV organization and its sites, an asset
- You have a very good command of spoken and written French (minimum B2)
- You are conscientious, able to meet deadlines and manage priorities
- You are willing to work irregular hours (morning, evening, weekends, and public holidays), on-call duty
- You are able to handle heavy loads
- You can present two clean criminal records (normal and special).
