The Alumni Relations department of the University of Basel and the AlumniBasel association jointly maintain and expand the alumni network of the University of Basel. We are committed locally, nationally, and internationally to the success and reputation of the University of Basel. We are looking immediately or by arrangement for a creative mind who makes our stories, members, and activities visible in digital media.
As the voice of AlumniBasel, the Content Creator develops creative strategies, tells digital stories, and shapes our newsletter and social media channels into vibrant platforms to not only inform but also inspire and engage alumni, students, and staff.
Your tasks
- You are responsible for target group-oriented communication internally and externally and implement the communication strategies developed with management.
- You are responsible for a public-facing external appearance of AlumniBasel and edit and create contributions for the print and online media of AlumniBasel and the University of Basel.
- You promote projects and events and organize central events and activities of AlumniBasel.
- You launch and coordinate the university-wide mentoring program of AlumniBasel and the University of Basel.
Your profile
- You have a university degree or a comparable professional qualification.
- You have several years of work experience in journalism, content management, and/or communication and ideally have experience in science communication.
- You have strong writing skills, confident German, good English skills, and are able to prepare facts in a target group-oriented manner.
- You have very good IT skills; application knowledge in CRM databases is an advantage.
- You have experience in event and project management, a confident appearance, and a goal-oriented and independent working style.
- You are a committed, communicative, and curious personality with strong team spirit.
- Knowledge of the University of Basel is an advantage.
