As a Junior Treasury Analyst, you will support and gradually take over the responsibility of analyses related to the Treasury core businesses, such as balance sheet developments and forecasts, funds transfer pricing, Treasury P&L et.al. You will collaborate with subject matter experts within Group Treasury and across the organization, and be involved in Treasury roadmap projects, aiming at enhancements and improvements of the Treasury landscape. You will participate in the reporting to senior management and management committees.
YOUR CHALLENGE
As a member of the Treasury Analytics team, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide Treasury key inputs (volume and product rates) to the Group Financial Model (GFM), the bank’s core tool for balance sheet analysis, forecast and budgeting
- Support the monthly review and sign-off of the GFM with respect of the Treasury part
- Analyse, extend and maintain the Treasury framework calculating and distributing the refinancing rates of all balance sheet products throughout the Julius Baer Group
- Analyses of the internal revenue transfer based on the banks Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework. Collaboration in the further development of the FTP framework
- Support the Treasury Analytics team regarding the Treasury P&L results, covering net interest income and trading income products
- Reporting Treasury related key indicators to the management and management committees such as the Group Asset & Liability Committee (Group ALMCO) and subcommittees of the Group ALMCO
YOUR PROFILE
- University degree, or equivalent, in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Post-graduate qualification (e.g. CFA, FRM, CIIA) is desirable, but not essential
- Ideally, 1 - 3 years of experiences in a similar role within Treasury or Treasury Risk Management, either in the financial services industry or a management consulting firm
- Track record in handling and analysis of data and financial modelling, programming skills (e.g. Python, R) will be a plus
- Hands-on, solution- and delivery-oriented mindset
- An independent, resilient, and team-oriented personality, with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and attention to detail, as well as focus on quality results
