The Emergency Medical Call Center 144 Graubünden (SNZ144 GR) organizes and coordinates the rescue of injured and ill persons in the canton of Graubünden. It is a department of the Health Department and is located in the premises of the Emergency & Operations Center of the Cantonal Police of Graubünden in Chur, where calls to the emergency numbers 112, 117, 118, and 144 are received.

We are looking for a Dispatcher Emergency Call Center for the Emergency Medical Call Center 144 starting May 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Your area of responsibility

Answering emergency calls via number 144
Alerting and coordinating rescue resources as well as special units (Care Teams, First Responders, SOS services, Rapid Medical Units) according to cantonal and internal concepts
Guiding callers in first aid measures
Documentation and monitoring of measures taken
Arranging on-call doctors, emergency dental and eye doctors as well as emergency pharmacies
Exchanging mission-relevant information with involved partners inside and outside the emergency call center
Primary operational command in special and extraordinary situations
Working in day, night, and weekend shifts (365 days / 24h), on-call duty
Participation in working groups, administrative ancillary tasks

What we expect from you

Ability to quickly gain an overview in complex situations, maintain oversight, and simultaneously coordinate ongoing processes
Mental resilience, ability to make decisions in exceptional situations, act structured, professionally, and purposefully
IT affinity, competence to safely operate technically demanding systems and communication tools
Qualification as a certified paramedic HF, certified nurse HF, certified transport paramedic FA, or MPA with at least 6 years of relevant professional experience
Very good German skills; oral foreign language skills in Italian and/or English
Communicative, dynamic team player
Willingness to take the professional examination Dispatcher Emergency Call Center FA within four years
