The Graubünden Natural History Museum is one of three cantonal museums in Graubünden that informs about the native nature. Each year, well over 30,000 guests visit our exhibitions and take advantage of the extensive range of guided tours, lectures, courses, and excursions. The team consists of approximately 25 employees with numerous areas of responsibility. For the smooth operation of the museum and its diverse activities, professional care of the exhibitions and the museum's infrastructure, including IT and computer systems, is also of central importance.
As a result of the retirement of the current position holder, we are looking for an employee in the field of museum technology starting August 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- Deputy caretaker: maintenance of the museum, operation and maintenance of technical systems, care of live animals
- Setup & dismantling as well as transport of exhibitions inside and outside the museum
- On-call duty
- Setup and support of infrastructure and technology for lectures, courses, etc.
- Assistance with the support of IT/computer systems of the Natural History Museum
What we expect from you
- All-rounder with completed vocational training and very good technical and manual skills
- Solid knowledge and experience in IT/computer systems as well as quick comprehension and willingness to learn new tools
- Organizational skills, efficient, independent and precise working style, high physical resilience and flexibility for occasional evening or weekend assignments
- Enjoyment of teamwork, high motivation, and good communication
- Interest in museums and nature topics
