The Burgerspittel is the senior institution of the Burgergemeinde Bern. In a refined ambiance, we offer care and support as well as numerous hospitality services for around 190 elderly residents. We cultivate a warm welcome culture and treat employees and residents openly and appreciatively.
In the area of household services (HDL), we provide support in meal distribution and catering as well as room cleaning. In addition, we ensure, in close cooperation with the caregivers, a high level of service quality towards our residents.

starting immediately or by arrangement
Your area of responsibility
- Assistance in planning and preparing meal distribution and service processes for the various catering units
- Consultation and support of our residents regarding food
- Responsibility for basic cleaning, daily maintenance and interim cleaning in public areas as well as in the rooms of our residents
- Compliance with area-specific quality assurance measures such as occupational safety, food and cleaning hygiene
- Ensuring a pleasant ambiance in the premises
Your profile
- You have completed training as a housekeeping specialist or service specialist
- You place great importance on always keeping the needs of the residents at the center
- Your independent and quality-conscious work distinguishes you
- You enjoy working in a team and are willing to work evenings or weekends
- You have good to very good German skills and understand Swiss German dialect
