We are looking for a Technical Editor (m/f/d) to complement our team and convey our product information clearly and understandably – so that our customers worldwide always have the right information at hand.

Then this role is made for you: You will create technical documentation that is not only technically correct but also user-friendly and practical.

What tasks will you take on?

You will:

• be responsible for the entire information lifecycle of technical product documentation in German – from planning through creation to publication – using an XML-based editorial system.
• create and maintain software texts with an internal solution and ensure consistent and understandable language.
• research technical content and prepare it in a target-group-oriented manner in close cooperation with product management, development, and other departments.
• actively contribute your expertise to interdisciplinary project teams and accompany products throughout their entire development cycle.
• take on additional tasks beyond daily business that contribute to the continuous improvement of editorial processes.
• participate in the further development of the editorial guidelines and the internal knowledge database and promote knowledge transfer within the team.

What do we expect from you?

You:

• have a completed degree in Technical Communication or a comparable technical education with further training as a Technical Editor.
• bring a pronounced analytical mindset as well as a structured and goal-oriented working style and prepare complex technical content understandably and appropriately for the target audience.
• are confident in using common MS Office applications as well as XML-based editorial and content management systems.
• master the German language confidently in spoken and written form and have good English skills for communication in an international environment.
• work independently, show initiative, and bring a healthy amount of assertiveness – also in shaping and optimizing editorial processes and systems.
• are a team-oriented, communicative personality who enjoys interdisciplinary collaboration.
