The Health Directorate of the Canton of Zurich ensures a high-quality and economically sustainable healthcare system in the Canton of Zurich. It guarantees seamless medical treatment and care and promotes the health of the Zurich population.
Within the Legal Department of the General Secretariat, the Legal Remedies division is responsible for handling appeals and supervisory complaints related to the Health Directorate.
To strengthen the Legal Remedies division, we are looking for a lawyer, 80%, to start immediately or by arrangement.
Tasks
Your area of activity includes independently and efficiently conducting legal remedy procedures, in particular the instruction and drafting of decision proposals within the entire scope of the Health Directorate, especially in the areas of animal protection, animal diseases, food, medicinal products, medical professions, health professions, patient and personnel law. You will also handle supervisory complaints and draft opinions for the higher legal remedy authorities.
Requirements
For this demanding role, you have, in addition to the lawyer's license, several years of professional experience in public administration (ideally in a first-instance legal remedy authority) or at a court. You work efficiently, are skilled in drafting decisions, can quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of law, and have a flair for administrative procedural law. The decisions you draft are structured and solution-oriented. Your written expression is clear and easily understandable.
