About the job
We are an innovative nonprofit company at the interface of social integration services and services for the public. On behalf of the Health, Social and Integration Directorate (GSI) of the Canton of Bern, we are responsible for the strategic planning and provision of measures for the social and professional integration of long-term unemployed persons.
Intact Gastro operates the Gsteig cafeteria of the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Burgdorf. Around 2,000 lunches are produced weekly in the cafeteria kitchen for students of the university, high school students, and various daycares and after-school care centers in the region. The range of services also includes catering for private and business customers. We also offer a takeaway delivery service and produce various gastronomy products for sale in our retail outlets. As part of a repositioning, we converted the cafeteria to system gastronomy this year with consistently sustainable production and delivery. Around 20 program participants are employed and agogically supervised for the various tasks.
To strengthen our team in the Gsteig cafeteria, we are looking for a
Cook with additional agogic training, 80-100%, starting February 1, 2026, or by agreement
Your tasks are
- professional preparation of meals
- agogic guidance of participants
- assistance in the training of apprentices
- active participation in the further development of agogic processes
- collaboration in purchasing, storage, warehouse organization, and utilization of food
- collaboration in the implementation and monitoring of compliance with the HACCP concept
- collaboration in the implementation and monitoring of the occupational safety concept
Your profile
You have completed vocational training as a cook and are certified as a professional trainer. You are familiar with system gastronomy and see the added value for the participants. Cooking is your passion, and you cook with emotion and creativity. The agogic setting gives you meaning, and working with a variety of people brings you joy. You are a team player and are energized by the dynamics of everyday kitchen life. Your personality is characterized by flexibility, high resilience, and strong reflective ability. You enjoy contributing your experience and knowledge to project work.
