Within the DRYMET project, which researches the risks of heavy metals for drinking water quality, you will support the project leader in developing methods for field experiments as well as in analyzing soil samples. Your tasks include assisting with experiments involving soil and soil solutions, sampling and preparing samples for various analyses, and performing UV-Vis spectrophotometric analyses. You will analyze the data together with the project leader. In addition, you will support fieldwork in spring at our stations, mainly in southern Switzerland. In an open, collegial atmosphere, we offer you the opportunity to gain insights into various aspects of soil functions.
The prerequisite for this internship is a completed master’s or bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or chemistry. You have already worked in a laboratory and can speak fluent English or German. The ability and willingness to learn quickly and work independently characterize you.
