This position reports to:

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this position, you have the opportunity to monitor the progress of the shift team based on the work plans defined by production management. You ensure that machines, equipment, and assembly lines in the production area are used correctly.

You provide daily feedback and recommendations to management on topics related to the production line – including line organization, priority changes, and potentially critical situations. You also contribute your expertise by working closely with department management to create an efficient working environment and optimize production plans and quality standards.

Area: Electrification, Smart Buildings, Energy Distribution in Schaffhausen

Your main responsibilities

• Supporting management in personnel deployment planning, e.g., during vacation absences, illness, machine failures, or changing priorities

• Focusing on volume, efficiency, and on-time delivery

• Supporting management and the shift team in allocating, coordinating, and monitoring shift tasks as well as implementing work plans

• Taking on a leadership role during the shift to ensure collaboration and resolve technical, quality, or logistical challenges

Your qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in a production or logistics environment

• Completed vocational training as a logistician EFZ and experience as a shift supervisor in a two-shift operation

• Very good knowledge of SAP, Excel, and Word

• Professional communication skills in German (C2 level)

• Respectful interaction, very good communication skills, transparency, and willingness to actively live ABB values
