Located in the Vevey region, between city and
countryside, the City of Juniper welcomes adults in a situation of
disability due to an intellectual deficiency. A multidisciplinary
and multi-site structure, it offers the people welcomed a living and
working environment that is particularly harmonious as well as a set of skills
adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual.
Integrated into the Eben-Hézer Foundation, the City of Juniper is the custodian of the moral testament of its founder, Sister Julie Hofmann. It considers the happiness of the welcomed individuals as the ultimate goal of its action.
Mission
The group "L'Amandier" is a living space welcoming eight adult residents with an intellectual deficiency and associated disorders. The support offered promotes the well-being and comfort of the residents, particularly through care and activities proposed around the 5 senses. Residents regularly participate in outings, activities, as well as various leisure and holiday camps that are offered to them. In order to complete the educational team, we are looking for a social educator (M/F).
Accompanying a person with multiple disabilities at L'Amandier means:
Providing individualized support in daily life activities
Being patient, empathetic, and caring
Being sensitive to non-verbal communication by exchanging through gaze, touch, sounds, and smiles
Practicing daily discovery, exploration, supposition, being inventive and creative
Accepting that a person who does not express themselves still thinks and acts in their own way
Promoting the autonomy and self-determination, dignity, and security of the residents
Desired profile
Having a diploma as a social educator ES or HES
Being comfortable with care and non-verbal communication
Being dynamic and able to take initiatives
Having team spirit and a sense of ethics
You master common IT tools, hold a driver's license, and are willing to work irregular hours including weekends.
