Ploom Brand Strategy Manager
The purpose of the role:
In line with JTI’s Global Corporate Strategy, the Ploom Brand Group drives the long-term development of Ploom—now present in 25+ markets—into a leading global brand in the Reduced Risk Products (RRP) Heated Tobacco category.
We are looking for a Ploom Global Brand Strategy Manager to join our Geneva HQ team and play a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s global journey.
As a key member of the Ploom Brand Strategy team, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the global brand strategy while adapting it to local market dynamics. Your role includes leading strategic initiatives such as global product launches, optimizing marketing investments, and enhancing brand equity. You will transform insights into actionable recommendations, collaborating with teams across Commercial Strategy, Digital, R&D, and Consumer Insights to ensure consistent and effective brand initiatives.
What will you do – key responsibilities:
High priority projects on Product and Pricing for assigned key markets
Support the Core Team, lead portfolio and pricing initiatives, and collaborate with market and HQ teams to drive action plans.
Work closely with market teams and other HQ teams to drive the necessary action plans
Oversee cross-functional high-priority projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of all initiatives.
On-going Market Support & Strategy Adaptation
- Provide hands-on strategic support to markets, helping local teams interpret and adapt global brand strategies to fit specific consumer needs, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments.
Cross-Functional projects
- Work closely with other functions such as Commercial, Digital, R&D, and Insights to develop and execute integrated initiatives that maximize consumer engagement and commercial performance.
Best Practice Sharing & Capability Building
- Identify, document, and share successful strategies and practices across markets, while contributing to the development of tools, processes, and capabilities that strengthen market execution and strategic thinking
Who are we looking for:
- University degree or equivalent (Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Psychology or other relevant degrees). MBA or equivalent Business related Postgraduate Degree will be considered as a plus
- 6+ years of solid FMCG experience in Marketing, Consumer Insights, Sales or consulting with international exposure/ experience. Ideally with experience of 2-4 years in Brand Management and
Global or Regional headquarters as well market experience
- Excellent English, both spoken and written (mandatory). Any additional language will be considered as a plus
- Strong background in FMCG, consumer electronics, or consulting, with expertise in market data tools (e.g. Trade Panels, Consumer Trackers, Euromonitor) and advanced analytics (Excel, Power BI)
- Consumer-centric mindset, skilled in developing forward-thinking strategies, managing brand and portfolio, and understanding consumer behavior across categories
- Solid commercial acumen, with expertise in route-to-market dynamics, pricing, ROI, and best practice sharing, along with deep knowledge of consumer experience management and performance measurement
