Northern Operations Manager

Technical Office | 80-100% | Samedan

The Technical Office is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of cantonal roads, as well as for the implementation of hydraulic works and non-motorized traffic in Graubünden. We also take care of the operational maintenance of national roads within the canton. The canton's road infrastructure includes over 1450 structures, including bridges up to 90 meters high and tunnels up to 3 kilometers long. The challenges that the nature of our mountain canton hides in summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. For the road maintenance section in district 3 Samedan, we are looking for from May 1, 2026 or by agreement a northern operations manager

Responsibilities

Technical and personnel management of the northern operational maintenance team
Planning and execution of operational maintenance of cantonal roads
Planning interventions of the two maintenance groups with a total of about 15 employees, vehicles, and machinery in collaboration with two foremen directly subordinate to you
Support to the construction sector with site management tasks for the building maintenance of cantonal roads
On-call service as intervention leader and willingness to participate in avalanche service
