About the job
To strengthen our Facilities & Services department at SICPA, we are looking for a:
Automation Technician
ROLE:
The role involves ensuring preventive, improvement, and corrective maintenance activities for all technical installations at the Prilly and Bussigny sites. The role requires a place of residence less than 30 minutes from the work site.
- Participate in the on-call service.
- Participate in monitoring all projects on new installations and obsolescence.
- Perform regular inspections of industrial controllers. Perform updates and backups. Proceed with battery changes.
- Ensure the follow-up and updating of technical documentation.
- Diagnose and restore faults or malfunctions in automation systems to baseline conditions. This may include replacing defective parts, configuring components, and troubleshooting performance-related issues.
- Work on optimizing programs in the sustainability field to ensure maximum energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Interact with clients to understand their needs, explain detected problems, and provide advice on the use of home automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards and regulations regarding data protection and maintenance of automation systems.
- Follow training and technological updates to stay informed of the latest advances in the "trade" field.
- Respect HSE rules.
