We are seeking to hire in Satigny (Geneva) a dynamic and motivated Production Quality Inspector for a CDD contract over 12 months, with the possibility of extension or future integration into Sécheron SA.
Quality Controls (QC) includes Outgoing Inspection and Production Support. It aims, through a positive and constructive team-spirit, to reduce risks of non-conforming output (finished goods and direct-sales) to be delivered to clients. Also, QC aims to increase client satisfaction and safety of products in terms of quality, delivery, and cost (QDC).
Main responsibilities
QC Outgoing Inspector:
• To ensure autonomy of quality decisions versus operations.
• To ensure the quality of output (finished goods and direct-sales) by systematically detecting gaps compared to defined specifications (quality inspection sheet, …).
• To release conform output in the system (e.g. ERP) and report observations if needed.
• To stop non-conform output and request rework to production.
• To report non-conformity in the system (e.g. GE28 suspicious, GE24 quarantine, ERP, Audros) and identify items as non-conform.
• To report daily to Island Leader on workload and priorities for validation.
• To participate in the daily meeting (5min-meetings) of production lines in order to communicate the detected issues and request immediate countermeasures (e.g. Training of operators...).
Production support:
• To stay on-call during working hours, and provide support to Production.
• To listen and understand the non-conformities and identify the defect in the report.
• To decide if quality is sufficient, based on requirements (dimensional, esthetic, and other...) in the system.
• To perform In-process Inspection (intermediary inspection) along the production line where applicable.
• To teach operators / testers the level of Quality required on individual items or finished goods and reinforce positive feedback when job is well done.
General
• To remember that you are contributing to supplying our clients with SAFETY PRODUCT for trains, and that even a small negligence on the quality of our product can lead to train accident and death of people (train employees, train passengers, train maintenance...).
• To works according to QMS processes and suggest improvements from Quality-Delivery-Cost (effectiveness and efficiency for clients) and Health & Safety perspectives (for employees and customers).
• To comply with the following standards: ISO9001, IRIS ISO22163, ISO45001, ISO14001 described in QMS processes, and to contribute to maintaining the certifications.
• To work in tandems / biomes or small groups of polyvalences to secure business in case of absence (e.g. Primary responsible and deputy shall share the execution and ensure mutual training permanently).
• To escalate issues to QHSE manager and to employees with authority to stop PROD-lines, e.g., if the client’s requirements are not ensured, or if HSE risk is identified.
• To participate to the overall effort to increase customer and employee satisfaction.
• To behave as role model in terms of respect of the company rules and other employees.
• To reinforce Quality service mindset with positive, constructive, and team-spirit attitude ("We" before "I").
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational training or technical certification in electrical or mechanical fields is a plus.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in electrical assembly or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
