To strengthen our P&C department, which offers our clients high-level services in claims management, we are looking for a corporate liability & surety underwriting specialist.
What you do:
- Analyze risks, activities, contractual relationships, and the financial situation of our insureds, and assess the legal and financial impact regarding liability and surety insurance coverage
- Autonomous underwriting of risks, within assigned competencies, ensuring profitable growth and exposure control
- Define maximum exposure limits, especially regarding surety risks
- Draft and validate contractual clauses in compliance with current legislation and internal standards
- Participate in the control of certain delegated underwriting activities (internal control system)
- Regulatory monitoring and anticipation of legal developments impacting the sector
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our solutions, underwriting policy, as well as our wordings and guidelines
- Contribute to Vaudoise's success through your expertise, customer orientation, and collaboration with our partners and clients
What you bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Swiss law, or equivalent training and experience with a legal or economic focus
- Excellent analytical and risk management skills, as well as negotiation skills and the ability to find tailored solutions
- Proven experience in corporate liability insurance, professional liability, and/or surety
- Mastery of corporate risk management principles and tools (internal control system) is an asset
- Good interpersonal skills, natural leadership, solution orientation, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Rigor and excellent writing skills in French; good knowledge of a second national language, Italian being a major asset or German
- Ability to interact autonomously with various stakeholders within the scope of assigned underwriting competencies
