- Experience in laser microprocessing or photonics preferred.

What you will do here
- Select, procure, and set up components for variable pulse delay in the lab
- Conduct parameter studies for processing dielectrics and semiconductors and characterize samples (e.g., etch rate, surface roughness)
- Perform adjustment and measurement of the temporal pulse shaping of a femtosecond laser
- Identify new industry partners and application possibilities in the field of applied R&D
- Document project results and communicate with partners; optional participation in conferences
What you ideally bring along
- A completed bachelor's degree in physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, microsystems technology, or a related field
- Initial experience in laser microprocessing or photonics or the willingness to learn
- Ability to independently plan experimental setups, implement them cleanly, and critically evaluate results
- Communicative, structured, and team-oriented personality with a solution-oriented mindset
- Very good English skills (negotiation level)
- Willingness for a parallel master's degree in MSE (Photonics profile) or Precision Engineering (Optical Engineering specialization)
