Role
EFG Forex Sales and Execution Desks is part of the FX Trading&Sales department, a global and fully centralised organisation which aim to cover out two 2 different locations - Lugano and Singapore - the various needs related to the Foreign exchange market for the whole EFG Group. The 24H Forex network is offering a continuous service in all forex products, enabling the EFG clients and EFG Client Relationship Officers to fully participate to a global market open from Sunday till Friday close. The clients base includes DAC, EFGAM, EAM and margin trading clients. The forex team is a mix between very experienced and highly specialised people that guarantee a top-quality service and execution with a very flexible mindset and with a strong team working attitude. The FX team play the role of business facilitators and enablers across all the regions and serve all the different booking centres of EFG. The role contributes to safeguarding execution standards and risk awareness, while reinforcing client confidence through consistent and high-quality delivery.
The Sales person will serve as integral member of the FX Sales and Executions teams, should expect continuous, and occasionally fast-paced, client engagement, and be in command of the risks associated with frequent FX spot, FX forward, FX Options and FX Structured products to be timely executed on behalf of clients across all segments.
This position targets an advanced level of FX professional skills and relevant tools and processes, with the ability and flexibility to cover both FX Sales and FX Executions desk’s activities and to participate to the Late Shifts turnovers and to cover festive days.
Main responsibilities
- Manage client transaction flow, obtaining price quotes from EFG FX traders
- Answer CROs and clients questions on complex products
- Achieve personal and team objectives including quantitative and qualitative targets
- Manage and grow complex client relationships by proactively meeting day-to-day client trading and market needs (strong understanding of the overall organisation) with sophisticated and professional clients (DAC)
- Facilitate the identification, sales and onboarding of new client relationships across all FX products
- Full respect of internal and external directives and apply guidance from the FX global code of conduct
- Leverage data and analytics to add value and deepen client relationships
- Develop and maintain expertise with EFG products and services
- Identify and convert business expansion opportunities within the existing client base
- Collaborate across EFG business lines to promote and support cross selling opportunities
- Stay updated about the financial markets and spot news and trends, look for new opportunities and establish credibility with clients by understanding their requirements
- Understands macroeconomic fundamentals and geopolitics and their propensity to drive FX markets. Possess the ability to synthesize market information to produce relevant, real-time updates
Special tasks
- Independent in managing market risks and in managing clients requests for a full range of FX products
- Flexibility to work during the evening to support our late shift coverage 5 pm till 12 pm (means having and advanced FX knowledge to be able to independently serve the clients in all the requests for a full range of FX products)
- Capability to work under fast moving situation and stressful environments
- Leverage on Technical analysis to produce a weekly reports for clients
Positions skills and experience
- 10 year experience in Private Banking or Global Markets
- University degree in finance or similar or Swiss Maturity Diploma and experience in a similar role
- Fast learner and ability to work under pressure
- Autonomous and ambitious with sense of initiatives and responsibility
- Written and verbal communication skills in English
- French or German will be considered as a plus
- Communication skills to be able to interact with internal and external stakeholders
- Proactive approach and entrepreneurial spirit
