- Teaching physics for various engineering study programs at the bachelor level, including further development of the corresponding modules.
- Supervision of students in project, bachelor, and master theses.
- Participation in application-oriented research and development projects in the field of applied optics (including hands-on activities in the laboratory).
- Shaping the focus area by acquiring own projects with various industry partners.
For this exciting challenge, we are looking for an innovative and energetic personality with a completed university degree in physics and a doctorate in a field of optics/photonics. In addition, you bring several years of professional experience in industry and are proficient in the implementation of optical measurement and analysis techniques. You are able to design, set up, and conduct experiments in the laboratory. You understand how to interpret results with models and optimize optical setups using simulations. Thanks to your network, you are able to acquire your own projects. As a team player, you also support ongoing projects of the team in the areas of spectroscopy, interferometry, luminescence, low-temperature optics, bio-sensing, or actuated (controlled) optics. Furthermore, you enjoy knowledge transfer in the engineering environment as well as working with students. Very good German language skills are essential for the teaching activities in this position.
