Assistant to the Head of Department 80 - 100%Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.
The newly established Medical Service Department (MED) ensures basic medical-somatic care for incarcerated persons in all correctional institutions of the Canton of Zurich. As a central organizational unit, it guarantees harmonized and high-quality healthcare according to the equivalence principle and works closely with the Psychiatric-Psychological Service and the JuWe institutions.
To support the Head of Department, we are looking for a committed executive assistant.
Your tasks
- Personal assistance to the Head of Department
- Managing the business and project control of the institution
- Organizing meetings and participating as a minute taker
- Planning and organizing workshops, conferences, and events in collaboration with the Head of Department
- Supporting the MED management in building the new department and in projects
- Monitoring the cost center of the department
- General assistance tasks within the department
Your profile
- You have completed commercial vocational training
- More than 8 years of professional experience, including at least two years in a similar role, underline your professional expertise
- Experience in project, quality, and/or public management is an advantage
- You are an organizational talent with a quick grasp
- Fluent German in spoken and written form as well as solid knowledge of Microsoft applications are among your strengths
- Responsibility and service orientation complete your profile perfectly
