The Cantonal Social Office with over 280 employees takes on diverse, controlling and operational tasks mainly in social assistance, social insurance, social services and in the asylum sector at the interface between the federal government, other cantons, cities, municipalities and various private organizations. It also operates its own facility, tilia, based in Rheinau.

For the Social Insurance Department, we are looking for a communicative, solution-oriented and committed personality as a lawyer 70-100% starting February 1, 2026 or by arrangement.

Your main tasks
- You provide well-founded professional and legal advice, especially on supplementary benefits to AHV/IV
- You participate in legislation, the development of guidelines, information letters and consultations in the area of supplementary benefits and family allowances
- You represent the department in internal and external expert committees and projects
- You handle supervisory complaints and prepare decision-making bases
- You actively shape the statutory supervisory function in the area of supplementary benefits and family compensation funds

Your skills and talents
- You have a completed degree in law (MLaw)
- You bring solid knowledge of social insurance law, ideally the law on supplementary benefits to AHV/IV and family allowances
- You communicate orally and in writing precisely, confidently and appropriately for the target audience
- You have analytical thinking and the ability to quickly grasp complex issues and develop practical solutions
- You are a team-oriented, flexible and responsible personality with a high service orientation
- You are interested in deepening and specializing professionally
