For the management of our kitchens in the table service restaurants at Zurich Airport (Upperdeck, Chalet Suisse, The Gallery, L’Oro di Napoli, AIR Restaurant & in-house production kitchen), we are looking for a Kitchen Director (m/f/d) immediately or by arrangement.
As Kitchen Director, you take overall responsibility for the culinary management and organization of several kitchens in our restaurants at one location. You assist in developing new concepts, ensure quality, and lead your team with passion and expertise.
Your tasks:
- Overall management of our kitchens: You plan, organize, and coordinate operations in all kitchen areas.
- Leadership & development: You lead, motivate, and develop your team – from sous chefs to cooks to kitchen assistants.
- Menu & concept development: Together with the F&B team, you contribute new ideas, develop seasonal menus, and creatively implement exciting culinary concepts.
- Quality & hygiene: You ensure the highest standards in taste, presentation, safety, and hygiene (HACCP).
- Goods & budget: You calculate, handle purchasing, manage suppliers, and keep an eye on costs and budget.
- Interface: You work closely with restaurant management, service management, and management to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Innovation & trends: You keep an eye on food trends and bring fresh ideas to our restaurants.
Your profile:
- Training as a cook or kitchen master – or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in a leadership role, ideally with multiple kitchens/restaurants.
- Leadership talent, organizational skills, and a good sense for people.
- Resilient, flexible, and solution-oriented.
- Creative, quality-conscious, and with a sense of business contexts.
- Communicative, team-oriented, and confident in appearance.
