Project: For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Kaiseraugst, we are looking for an Automation Engineer Pharma Engineering (m/f/d)

Background:
The circle "Pharma Engineering DP Liquids KAU" is looking for an Automation Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on programming (especially PCS7) for the Basel and Kaiseraugst locations. The circle "Pharma Engineering DP Liquids KAU" offers internal customers in the areas of research, development, launch, and market production at the Basel / Kaiseraugst site professional engineering services.

The activities include the planning, implementation, and operational engineering of the production facilities. In addition, customers are supported in idea generation and concept development of new, innovative solutions to design efficient production processes. Orders and projects are handled without hierarchies in self-organized specialist teams with a new delivery model. This requires a high degree of self-organization, foresight, and team spirit as well as pronounced communication skills. The process plants to be supervised have a very high degree of automation and are strongly networked with each other and with higher-level IT systems.

The perfect candidate has programming knowledge of PCS7, as well as experience with Siemens Simatic, process control systems, and B+R controls. Furthermore, the person has 5 years of experience in the GMP environment as an operations engineer, especially in the area of troubleshooting.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Operational engineering with the goal of ensuring production is maintained at all times
* Continuous optimization of process plants and evaluating, testing, and recommending new technologies * Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams with internal and external employees and companies * Independent work in automation projects in all project phases with responsibility for costs, deadlines, resources, and technical solutions
* Support during audits and inspections by internal bodies and authorities in the area of GMP and HSE

Must Haves:
* Completed vocational training or degree as a technician, engineer in the field of automation, electrical engineering, technical computer science, or a similar field
* At least 5 years of professional experience in the automation environment, preferably with a pharmaceutical background
* Very good user knowledge in the field of automation software, especially with Siemens PCS7, as well as e.g. Siemens Simatic S7, TIA, B+R, and WinCC Classic or WinCC Flexible
* Solid experience in the GMP and GAMP environment
* Independence, initiative, and integrity as well as very high service orientation with a strong sense of duty and a strong team player, as well as outstanding communication skills
* Negotiation-level German skills in spoken and written form are required

* High social competence, teamwork skills, and very good communication and coordination skills also in dealing with stakeholders and at all levels.
* Enthusiasm as well as independent, customer-oriented working style
* Questioning conventional thinking patterns and openness to new, creative ideas – also outside familiar fields ("out of the box thinking").
* Ability to analyze complex issues and communicate them in an adapted language to customers and stakeholders.
