Job Description
The Business Analyst (BA) is a key member of the Information Technology (IT) team and serves as a critical link between business stakeholders and technical teams. The role ensures that business needs are clearly understood, effectively translated into technical solutions, and successfully delivered through well-designed and well-managed applications used internally and by bluesign’s customers.
In this role, you will take ownership of one or more applications, ensuring alignment between business processes, system functionality, and user experience. Working closely with Business Project Leaders, Subject Matter Experts, development teams, and Program Management, you will elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, identify root causes of problems, and design solutions that fit into the existing technical landscape while supporting the company’s growth.
The ideal candidate is a structured and analytical professional with strong communication skills, able to operate confidently in both business and IT environments. The Business Analyst reports to the Senior Program Manager (Head of Project Management and Business Analysis).
- Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into clear use cases, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand needs, challenge assumptions, and identify root causes of issues.
- Design and maintain business analysis artefacts, including business process models, system models, and high-level wireframes.
- Ensure that documentation for assigned applications is accurate, consistent, and kept up to date throughout the application lifecycle.
- Act as a trusted intermediary between business and technical teams, facilitating effective communication and shared understanding.
- Support application delivery by working closely with development teams during implementation, functional testing, and rollout.
- Provide second-level support to business users, helping analyse and resolve application-related issues.
- Monitor and report on progress, risks, and dependencies related to initiatives and operational topics to Program Management.
- Ensure consistency of business logic, data usage, and user experience across applications.
Qualifications
Mandatory:

- At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a comparable role.
- Strong experience in business process modelling using BPMN.
- Experience modelling IT systems and system behaviour using UML (e.g. Use Case, Class, Sequence, and Activity diagrams).
- Proven experience supporting the full software lifecycle, from requirements elicitation and documentation to development collaboration, functional testing, and business communication.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills; able to perform effectively under pressure.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages such as German, French, or Spanish are an advantage.
- Curious mindset and willingness to continuously learn and develop.
Nice to have:
- Experience creating high-level wireframes to support solution design.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, with the ability to balance Agile delivery approaches and defined project governance frameworks.
