Trainee Business Development & Strategy (all)

You will shape strategic topics and new business opportunities at BKW Energy Markets. In three rotations, you will work on market analyses, customer solutions, and business development, gaining insight into different perspectives of the energy business. Start: 1 March 2027.

Your tasks

Strategy Energy Markets

• You analyse energy markets, competitive and regulatory developments and derive recommendations for action
• You contribute to the strategy and initiatives of Energy Markets and prepare decision-making bases for management

Business Development Flexibility

• You identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the area of flexibility
• You support the management of the project portfolio and create transparency about status, milestones, risks, dependencies and decision requirements

Customer Solutions

• You analyse and design local energy systems for industrial customers and develop profitability assessments as well as tailored energy supply offers
• You prepare these for customers, participate in presentations and support customer projects and group companies

Your profile

• You have completed a degree in business, engineering or a related field
• You have already gained initial experience in the energy industry, business development, strategy or project management
• You bring a basic understanding of energy economic contexts and battery technologies; topics such as customer journey and competitive analysis are familiar to you
• You analyse complex issues in a structured way, combine economic and technical perspectives and prepare results appropriately for the target audience
• You work confidently with Excel for analyses and with PowerPoint for presentations
• You communicate fluently in German and well in English
