We are looking for a Key Account Manager with a focus on international new customers
Responsibilities
With a focus on innovative food products, you will take on a central role in international sales with a clear emphasis on growth through new customers. Your main tasks are:
- Active identification, approach, and acquisition of new international customers (especially retail and private label partners in Europe as well as A-brands).
- Systematic development of a sustainable new customer pipeline including lead management, offer phase, and contract conclusion.
- Building and further developing long-term customer relationships with high service and solution standards.
- Independent market development including market and potential analyses, target customer segmentation, and derivation of concrete acquisition strategies.
- Active participation in the development of innovative products and concepts – from the customer idea to successful market launch.
- Function as a central interface between customers and internal departments (purchasing, production, R&D, quality, controlling).
- Responsibility for sales, contribution margin, sales development as well as price and condition management for new and existing customers.
- Participation in cross-departmental projects and active shaping of the international sales strategy.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in international sales or key account management, ideally in the FMCG, private label, or retail environment.
- Completed business studies with a focus on marketing, sales, or comparable education.
- Proven success in new customer acquisition and closing complex B2B deals.
- Fluent German and English skills; additional languages are an advantage.
- High self-motivation, strong closing skills, and a structured, goal-oriented working style.
- Analytical and strategic thinking combined with entrepreneurial drive.
- Recognizing market trends through continuous customer, competitor, and market analyses, combined with a sense for market needs and innovations.
- Enthusiasm for innovative food concepts, trends, and market-oriented product development.
