Shape the digital future of education with us
The Middle School and Vocational Education Office of the Canton of Zurich (MBA) is committed to the interests of youth, politics, and business for the cantonal middle and vocational schools, providers of preparatory vocational years, and training companies. Together with internal and external partners, we ensure a modern IT service tailored to the requirements of education for around 60,000 users at over 40 cantonal schools.
Our organizational unit Digital contributes centrally to the digital transformation of education. To strengthen our team "Digital Transformation at Cantonal Secondary Schools II" (DiWaSek II), we are looking for an IT Project Manager with a workload of 80 to 100 percent as of now or by agreement until December 31, 2029.
Your mission
Do you want to make a difference? Then you are right with us. In this role, you actively shape the digital transformation at the cantonal secondary schools II. You consolidate, modernize, and standardize the technical and pedagogical ICT services and ensure that our migration projects are implemented on time, with quality, and sustainably. You are the central interface between schools, suppliers, and project partners. You independently lead projects or subprojects, coordinate external partners, and also get involved operationally. With your expertise, you contribute to making modern teaching in the digital space a reality. Your work has a direct impact on young people, teachers, school management, and school administration.
Your profile
For this role, you bring a completed degree as an IT specialist, business informatics specialist HF/FH, or a comparable qualification. You have experience in project management, ideally with knowledge of HERMES, and enjoy making complex contexts understandable and translating them into concrete solutions. Your working style is structured, yet pragmatic and characterized by a pronounced hands-on mentality. You communicate proactively, enjoy interdisciplinary work, and have a confident command of German, both spoken and written.
What we offer you
We offer you a motivated, dynamic team that works together, as well as a meaningful task with immediate benefits for education. You will take on a position with development potential, scope for design, and responsibility, benefit from modern working conditions and flexible work arrangements, and work at an attractive location in Zurich within walking distance of the main train station.
Interested?
Then we look forward to your electronic application! For further information, Martin Egger, Program Manager DiWaSek II, is happy to assist you by email: martin.egger@mba.zh.ch or phone +41 43 259 77 30. Job placement agencies and applications via email will not be considered for this vacancy.
