At the Institute of Art History of the University of Bern, a position as Administrative Clerk with a workload of 40-50% is to be filled immediately or by agreement, initially limited to one year. During this year, you will be trained in all areas by the head of the secretariat.
What to expect:
You will support the department directors in all administrative matters. You are an organizational talent, handle the tasks carefully and on time, and know how to set priorities. You enjoy a hub function as well as support and coordination tasks and keep a cool head even in hectic times.
- Management of the secretariat
- Administrative tasks in personnel management, e.g. preparation of hires, absence, time and salary control, and quality management (IKS)
- Budgeting, management and administration of operating and third-party funds, accounts receivable and payable workflow, trend calculation
- Correspondence, telephone duty and handling of daily business
- Organization and coordination of events, support in project administration, occupational safety (KOPAS)
Requirements:
- Completed commercial or equivalent training, several years of professional experience preferably in university administration
- Proficient use of IT tools (MS Office, SAP, etc.)
- High professional and social competence, ability to work in a team
- Very good self-organization and a high degree of responsibility
- Precise and reliable working style
- Very good German and English skills
- Enjoyment of minute-taking
