You will lead the Department of Youth, Family, Leisure, Sports, and thus the Leisure House Allschwil in administrative, organizational, financial, professional, and personnel matters.
Allschwil is one of the largest municipalities in Northwestern Switzerland and is an innovative suburb of Basel. The proximity to this city shapes Allschwil's character, without the municipality losing its political and mental independence.
In the field of Education – Upbringing – Culture, we are looking for a committed and responsible personality for the Department of Youth, Family, Leisure, Sports, and thus for the Leisure House Allschwil (https://www.freizeithaus-allschwil.ch/) starting December 1, 2025, or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
• Leading the Department of Youth, Family, Leisure, Sports, and thus managing the operations of the Leisure House in administrative, organizational, financial, professional, and personnel matters
• Implementation, quality assurance, and further development of services and offerings, taking into account the needs of users and within the framework of guidelines
• Personnel planning and selection
• Rental and allocation of rooms to private individuals, associations, and institutions
• Designing and accompanying internal development and change processes
• Controlling and reporting to the supervising authorities
• Creating concepts, proposals, and reports for various decision-makers in collaboration with the department management
• Budget responsibility within the framework of account responsibility
• Public relations work
• Collaboration with internal and external partner organizations as well as networking in the social sector
• Representation and representation of the overall operation externally
Your profile
• Education in the social pedagogy field (FH/HF)
• Several years of leadership experience in a medium-sized, mixed operation
• Further training in organizational management and/or business administration
• Professional experience with children and/or adolescents, ideally in open work
• Customer-oriented basic attitude and joy in dealing with people
• High team, communication, and social competence
• Structured and analytical thinking combined with strong planning and organizational skills
• Quick comprehension, high commitment, flexibility, and resilience
• Fluent German in spoken and written form, good English skills are an advantage
• Willingness to occasionally work evenings and weekends
