We are looking for an exciting personality ready to commit as Deputy Head Chef:
The first tibits in French-speaking Switzerland is looking for team members for our gem located in the iconic Lausanne Train Station Buffet, starting service from February 2026 or at an agreed date. Every day, we lovingly prepare high-quality food in our kitchen and thus delight our guests. Join the story of our success!
Your responsibilities:
- Personal and technical supervision of about ten production employees, in collaboration with the head chef
- Active participation in kitchen activities
- Replacement of the head chef during their absences
- Recruitment and integration of new employees
- Preparation and management of work schedules
- Participation in the design, consolidation, and implementation of work processes and procedures
- Co-responsibility for the entire production process and goods management
- Implementation of prescribed production principles and co-responsibility for occupational safety in production
- Monitoring and compliance with cost targets for goods and personnel, as well as creditor control
- Implementation of hygiene and quality standards (HACCP)
- Management and execution of the monthly inventory
Who you are:
You enjoy managing multiple tasks simultaneously and appreciate direct contact with the team as well as with our buffet customers. You are a certified cook, you like to share your knowledge and work closely with management. If, in addition, you never forget that a good dose of humor and joy of life is an essential ingredient in your daily work, then you are the person we need to complete our team.
During the first months, you will be introduced to our basic principles, our products, and our processes, and you will go through all the stages up to the position of Deputy Head Chef.
You have developed your technical and managerial skills through various experiences in the catering industry. A complete training and advanced specialization in this field are an additional advantage. You appreciate direct contact with customers and teamwork, but you are also comfortable with common IT tools.
