The Geneva Foundation for Sociocultural Animation is a partner institution, funded by the Canton and municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of the relationship between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, sociocultural, and associative field actions carried out by centers and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, quality of life, with a general objective of preventing social exclusion.
A position for a 65% sociocultural animator is open at the Asters-Servette Neighborhood House.
Job Description
- Take responsibility for sociocultural and socio-educational animation work with the different populations of the neighborhood, particularly in free children's reception;
- Collaborate in supervising the adolescent sector by regularly reinforcing free receptions;
- Contribute to the development of the neighborhood's associative life in a context of urban evolution;
- Participate in the development and supervision of the animation program for all audiences, families, events, and day camps;
- Assume administrative and material management tasks of the association within a shared responsibility operation.
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work, HES level, or an equivalent university degree;
- Willingness and ability to work within a horizontally functioning animation team and collegially;
- Proven experience in sociocultural animation, particularly with children and adolescents;
- Versatility, initiative, autonomy, creativity, and ability to take on responsibilities;
- Ability and willingness to work in a team and network: management committee, instructors, administrative and technical staff, and neighborhood partners;
- Good oral and written expression and synthesis skills; communication and writing skills;
- Rigor in record keeping and meeting deadlines;
- Good knowledge of the Geneva social, political, and cultural system and of FASe;
- Good command of common computer tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
Additional Information
- Open to flexible and irregular hours (evenings, weekends, and school holidays);
- Driving license D1 is an asset;
- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale, maximum class 15;
- Start as soon as possible;
