Medical Secretary for the Urology Department
The urology department of the Surgery Department is looking for a medical secretary at 80%, within the framework of a 6-month fixed-term contract starting December 1, 2025.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and education.
The urology department is part of the surgery department. It manages diseases of the urinary tract, including infections, malformations, stones, functional urinary disorders, as well as common cancers (prostate, bladder, kidney). It performs nearly 10,000 consultations, 2,500 endoscopic procedures, and 400 major surgical interventions annually. The department brings together a multidisciplinary team composed of specialist doctors and nurses, some highly specialized. It also conducts cutting-edge urology research, funded by national and academic partners, aiming to advance knowledge and therapeutic tools for the benefit of patients.
Mission
- You manage the schedules, correspondence, and meetings of senior doctors
- You organize patient consultations and monitor the progress of their medical records
- You type letters, medical reports, and administrative documents
- You coordinate training sessions, conferences, and seminars
- You participate in improving the department's services and in task sharing within the team
- You occasionally replace the management of the operating schedule.
Profile
- You hold a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent qualification, complemented by a recognized medical secretary diploma
- You have at least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role
- You have excellent command of common computer tools; knowledge of Soarian, Axya, and Ultragenda software is an asset
- You demonstrate excellent written and spoken French, with impeccable spelling
- You are recognized for your rigor, autonomy, discretion, and organizational skills
- You enjoy teamwork and have good interpersonal skills.
