We have successfully expanded our presence in Europe over the last 9 years with locations in the DACH region in Basel (Switzerland), Böblingen, and Penzberg (Germany) and are now looking for a Senior Project Engineer for Building Services Engineering Heating, Cooling, Ventilation, Sanitary (m/f/d).
You are the direct contact person for our customers and our team in the areas of heating, ventilation, cooling, and sanitary and are responsible for the design and implementation of supply and piping systems. You master common standards such as cGMP confidently and can apply them independently and precisely in projects. As a lead engineer, you not only lead and coordinate the project team but also monitor important project metrics and work with your team on offers, approvals, and construction services.
Job Description
- Leadership responsibility for building services engineering teams in Life Science industry projects across all project phases
- Independent concept development, calculation, planning, and tendering of HVAC trades
- Project supervision during the execution phase for the scope of building services engineering, primarily in the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industry
- Contact person for our customers on technical questions
- Creation, documentation, and evaluation of mass and energy balances
- Preparation of technical documentation for HVAC systems
- Preparation of tender documents and technical bid comparison
- Responsibility for deadlines and budget
- Mentoring for junior engineers in the HVAC field

Qualifications
- Degree in building services engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, or industrial engineering, or training as a technician/master with planning background
- Project experience in implementing new construction and renovation projects in service phases 1-7 according to HOAI (+10 years), ideally in the pharmaceutical industry; design, calculation, and drawing of building services systems and installations according to HOAI
- Management of legally compliant documentation for all contract-relevant processes in the project
- High social competence as well as leadership talent and teamwork skills
- Customer orientation and problem-solving ability
- Proactive communication with customers and clients regarding project developments
- Very good knowledge of relevant standards and regulations such as EnEV/GEG, RLT and VDI guidelines, and FDA/EMA standards as well as cGMP and their interpretation in projects
- High willingness to travel also outside the DACH region
- Very good German (B2) and English skills (C1)
- Very good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Revit BIM systems and calculation programs desirable
