In diesem Praktikum entwickelst du innovative Lösungen zur Optimierung der Containerbeladung im Rückbauprozess von Kernkraftwerken. Im Rahmen des Rückbaus werden einzelne Teile in Container überführt, die dann in ein Zwischen- oder Endlager transportiert werden. Die Container sollten möglichst vollständig befüllt werden.
Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten
- Verständnis des Containerbeladungsprozesses als Teil des Rückbaus
- Entwicklung von Lösungen zur Ladeoptimierung in Bezug auf Geometrie
- Entwicklung von Lösungen zur Ladeoptimierung basierend auf weiteren Faktoren wie Gewicht, Materialaktivierung, etc.
- Validierung der Ergebnisse (Erstellung eines 3D-Modells zur Visualisierung der Ergebnisse
Profil und Anforderungen
- Abschluss in Informatik, Mathematik oder einem verwandten MINT-Fach (Master oder PhD)
- Kenntnisse in Python
- Erfahrung in Operations Research und Machine Learning

In this internship, you will develop innovative solutions to optimize container loading in the nuclear power plant dismantling process. As part of the dismantling process, individual parts are transferred to containers, which are then transferred to temporary or final storage. The containers should be filled as much as possible.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Understanding the container loading process as part of the decommissioning
- Developing solutions for load optimization in terms of geometry
- Developing solutions for load optimization based on further constraints such as weight, material activation, etc.
- Validating the results (Create a 3D Model to visualize the results)
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related STEM field (Master's or PhD level)
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience in Operations Research and Machine Learning
- Proficiency in German or English
