The Museum of Design Zurich is the leading Swiss museum for design and visual communication. Its collection unites over half a million objects from graphic and design history and is of international significance. As part of the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK, the museum is engaged in research and teaching and regularly produces its own publications. At its three locations in Zurich – at Ausstellungsstrasse, on the Toni-Areal university campus, and in the Le Corbusier Pavilion – as well as through traveling exhibitions and in the digital space, the museum reaches a broad, international audience.

Specialist in Marketing and Communication 60-80 %
You are an initiative-taking and communicative personality with a passion for marketing and communication as well as an interest in design and styling. Through your work, you contribute decisively to making our exhibitions, events, and educational offerings visible and accessible to a broad audience.
Your tasks
- You plan and implement diverse communication measures for our exhibitions, events, and educational offerings – in close collaboration with the board, the mediation department, and the management. You create target group-oriented content for various formats: from social media posts and web articles to letters, newsletters, and texts for the annual program.
- In the area of media relations, you create and edit media texts, prepare media materials, coordinate press appointments, and maintain our media contacts as well as the media database.
- In digital communication, you manage the content on the website, design newsletters and mailings, publish posts on digital platforms, and maintain event calendars and cultural agendas.
- You control the conception and production of communication and advertising materials with external partners – including designers, agencies, photographers, and video producers – from the initial idea to the finished product.
- Furthermore, you take on administrative tasks in communication and marketing, including processing contracts and invoices as well as creating schedules for exhibition communication.
Your profile
- Relevant professional experience in marketing and/or communication – preferably in the cultural sector
- Experience in media relations
- Affinity for digital communication and confident handling of social networks
- Experience with content management systems, newsletter tools, and social media platforms
- Technical and design sensibility for creating and editing image and video material, especially with Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud programs
- Excellent German skills in spoken and written form as well as a pronounced language sense and text security; very good English skills, French skills are an advantage
- Structured, independent working style and enjoyment of teamwork
