In the role of Head Physician, you will care for patients in our expanded and state-of-the-art emergency department within the service offering (basic package/basic care).
You are responsible for the initial assessment and treatment of both internal medicine and surgical patients in collaboration with the internal medicine senior physician team in Zweisimmen and the surgical colleagues at the Thun hospital location. The close integration of emergency, inpatient, and consultative medicine ensures continuous, high-quality care throughout the entire treatment pathway.

Experienced senior physicians are, of course, available to support your professional development. Participation in the well-compensated specialist on-call duties (standby) is expected.

How to become part of our team
- Specialist title in General Internal Medicine (Switzerland or EU/EFTA) with experience in clinical emergency medicine, interdisciplinary focus "Clinical Emergency Medicine SGNOR" desirable
- Broad knowledge and professional experience in General Internal Medicine
- Excellent German language skills, spoken and written
- Willingness to participate in specialist on-call duties is expected
- High commitment and enjoyment of a versatile activity at the interface between emergency medicine and inpatient medicine
