Job Description
Introduction:
You will play a key role in ensuring the short- and long-term financial planning of the Organisation and preparation of the financial documents for the Organisation Governing Bodies. You will also have a unique opportunity to participate in finance transformation projects.
Functions:
- Act as a strategic partner to departments and projects in delivering effective financial planning, forecasting, and controlling.
- Contribute to the standardisation and enhancement of financial processes and working methods across all CERN sectors.
- Ensure internal budget allocations.
- Contribute to the preparation of the official financial documents for the governing bodies: annual budgets, mid-term plans and annual progress reports.
- Provide management and other stakeholders with analysis, information and advice.
- Participate in finance transformation projects including the implementation of new tools and enhancement of financial processes.
Qualifications
Master's degree or PhD or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Economics, Finance, Business administration or a related field.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in resources budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
- Very good working knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Experience in using financial and administrative software packages.
Technical competencies:
- Financial reporting and analysis.
- Personnel and material resources planning.
- Use of office software packages: experience in using financial and administrative software packages.
