The Department of Marketing at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Lausanne (HEC Lausanne) invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant in Luxury Marketing.
Job information
Expected start date: February 1st, 2026 or mutually agreed date
Contract length: 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years. The maximum duration is 5 years.
Activity rate: 80%
Workplace: University of Lausanne, Switzerland
The open position is funded by the University of Lausanne. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to attend international conferences to present their work, and to travel and learn from leading experts through our wide network of academic and industry collaborations.
Your responsibilities
- A minimum of 50% of the regular working hours will be dedicated to the completion of the PhD thesis.
- A maximum of 50% of the regular working hours will be dedicated to teaching, administrative and technical tasks, as well as supporting the Swiss Center for Luxury Research.
Your qualifications
- Master degree in management with marketing specialization or equivalent title in an adjacent domain (e.g., psychology, sociology, business analytics, or computer science);
- Strong language skills in English, and preferably also in French and German;
- Interest in conducting an empirical PhD thesis on consumer behavior and branding in the luxury domain using quantitative methods;
- Strong skills in multivariate data analysis; knowledge of data analysis software packages such SPSS, STATA, R;
- Programming language skills preferable;
- First experience with academic publishing.
