But what exactly is Physio?

Physiotherapy is a health profession constituting an essential element of care and is part of the paramedical disciplines in Switzerland. Certified physiotherapists hold a Bachelor of Science HES-SO in physiotherapy, and the profession is recognized as such by the Federal Law on Health Professions (LPSan).

As with other paramedical professionals, physiotherapists administer treatment on medical prescription.

Physiotherapists practice rigorously by performing an evaluation, treatment, and follow-up of the patient. Their services are covered by basic health insurance (LaMal).

Physiotherapy is a safe and renowned method, suitable for patients of all backgrounds and ages, whether children, elderly people, athletes, pregnant women, and more. It continues to develop based on new knowledge acquired through research.
