Profond is one of the largest independent pension funds in Switzerland with around 100,000 insured persons, managed assets of 17 billion francs, and 120 employees at two locations.

Our division continues to grow – and we are looking for an experienced individual who, together with a second application manager, will take responsibility for a business-critical core system. In this key role, you combine stable operation, technical development, and close collaboration with specialist departments and external partners.

Senior Application Manager Core System (80-100%)

Your area of responsibility:

• You take on the application responsibility from an IT perspective for the core system as well as other defined applications throughout the entire lifecycle
• You ensure stable, secure, and economical operation and coordinate collaboration between IT, specialist departments, external manufacturers, and governance functions
• You analyze disruptions, manage workarounds, sustainable resolutions, and inform users transparently
• You plan and support releases as well as the further development of applications – from requirements gathering through solution concepts and testing to rollout
• You ensure integration into the IT architecture and systematically incorporate risks, dependencies, and technical constraints into planning

What distinguishes you:

• Several years of experience in application management of business-critical systems
• Good understanding of application architectures, interfaces, data flows, and the interplay of operation, development, security, and governance
• Experience in regulated environments or willingness to familiarize yourself with regulatory requirements
• Knowledge in the area of occupational pension schemes (BVG) is an advantage
• Structured, independent, and responsible working style
• Clear, target-group-oriented, and solution-focused communication
• Technical depth without focus on a classic developer role

Technical environment:

• Microsoft Azure as the primary operation and cloud platform
• Microservices and container platforms with Kubernetes
• Windows Server as well as Azure PaaS services
• REST APIs and integration with internal and external third-party systems
• Monitoring, logging, information security, data protection as well as backup, recovery, and emergency concepts
