As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counseling is responsible for the services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. Children, adolescents, and families are at the center of our work – we dedicate ourselves to this daily – with great passion and commitment. The Case Financing Department is part of the Supplementary Educational Assistance area and is responsible for the implementation of the Child and Youth Home Act (KJG). The core task is the processing of all applications for cost coverage guarantees (KÜG) for supplementary educational assistance in the Canton of Zurich.

Your area of responsibility

• Personnel, professional, organizational, and conceptual leadership of the department with 12 employees
• Responsible for the core processes and their continuous development
• Responsible for planning, coordination, and budgeting of all resources
• Participation in the implementation of the KJG care concept 2026-2029
• Personnel recruitment, introduction, qualification, leadership & promotion of the team
• Representation of the Case Financing Department internally and externally
• Project management and participation in committees and professional conferences

Your profile

• MAS degree in social pedagogy, social work, educational sciences, psychology, or law
• Several years of leadership experience
• Several years of professional experience in child protection
• Strong conceptual skills and experience in project management
• Affinity for digital topics
